Product overview

Feed and food grade yellow corn for compound feed mills, starch plants and poultry integrators, supplied bagged or in bulk. Origin is Brazil · Argentina · India · Ukraine, and the line runs on our own rice mill, cleaning and grading plant or at a sister factory under common management — so you are buying at manufacturer pricing with the producing factory named on the certificate of origin.

The contract specification is grade at Feed grade / Food grade, moisture at 14 % max, foreign matter at 2 % max and broken kernels at 5 % max. Those are the figures we set the plant to and the figures the independent surveyor measures against, not indicative ranges. Where your process needs a tighter tolerance, say so in the enquiry: a tighter number is usually a machine setting and an honest yield conversation rather than a refusal.

Applications

  • Brewing and distilling adjunct
  • Flour and semolina milling
  • Dal milling and splitting
  • Retail and private-label bagging

How this grain is milled and cleaned

Paddy and raw pulses come in from contracted growers and collection centres, are pre-cleaned, destoned and de-husked, then milled, polished and passed through length graders that set the broken percentage. The broken figure on your contract is a grading outcome we control, not an estimate — the length grader is set to the contract and the reject stream goes to a lower grade rather than back into your lot. Moisture is conditioned before bagging, because grain bagged wet is the most common cause of a cargo arriving with mould claims.

Quality control before it leaves

Moisture, broken percentage, foreign matter, damaged and discoloured grain, chalky grain and test weight are recorded per lot. Where the destination requires it we fumigate under ISPM-15 and issue the certificate with the documents, and we screen for pesticide residue against the destination MRL rather than the origin one.

Independently, you nominate the surveyor and their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement. We give the surveyor access to the production line, not only the finished stack, and every lot carries a number that maps back to a production date, a raw material intake and a laboratory record we retain for the full claim period.

Packing, private label and volumes

Standard packing is 25 kg or 50 kg woven polypropylene with a printed BOPP outer, palletised or floor-loaded. Jumbo bags of 1 MT are available for buyers who repack at destination. Printed private-label bags are a routine run for us: send artwork and we handle origination, and we hold the design on file so a repeat order needs no new approval cycle.

Buyers reach this page searching for a yellow maize (corn) supplier, a yellow maize (corn) exporter or a yellow maize (corn) manufacturer, and the distinction matters more than the wording suggests. 02  /  Questions

Frequently asked about yellow maize (corn).

01What is the minimum order quantity for yellow maize (corn)?
Our standard minimum is 1 x 20' FCL (25 MT) / 12,500 MT parcel. Smaller trial quantities can be consolidated with other lines from our factories into a single container where the destination and Incoterm allow it — tell us the port and we will confirm whether it works economically.
02How is yellow maize (corn) packed for export?
Standard export packing is 50 kg PP bags · bulk in lined containers · vessel parcel. Alternative formats and private-label packing under your own artwork are available on request; we handle print origination and destination labelling compliance in-house.
03Can you hold a tighter specification than the one published?
Usually, yes. The published figure for grade is Feed grade / Food grade, and because the production line is ours a tighter tolerance is a machine setting rather than a sourcing problem. We will price the yield loss honestly or tell you plainly that we cannot hold it.
04Are samples available before we contract?
Yes. We courier a production sample against the agreed specification together with the laboratory certificate for that lot. For private-label orders we also send label proofs and packing mock-ups for written approval before anything is printed.
05Who inspects the cargo before it ships?
Every lot is analysed in our in-house laboratory, then verified at load port by an independent surveyor you nominate — SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, Cotecna or Alex Stewart. Their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement.
06What payment terms and Incoterms do you work on?
We quote CIF and DDP as standard, so freight and insurance are already inside the price and, under DDP, duty and delivery to your door as well. FOB, CFR, FCA and DAP are quoted on request. Payment is by telegraphic transfer against an agreed advance and balance, or cash against documents for established counterparties.
07Which markets do you already ship yellow maize (corn) to?
Regular destinations for this division include Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Indonesia, Kenya, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Mexico and Peru. Tell us your destination at enquiry stage and the documentary requirement goes into the contract rather than being discovered at the port.
