Preparation is the whole job in this division: an HMS parcel that arrives with oversized pieces or unacceptable attachments costs the buyer furnace time, and a copper lot that is graded generously fails on assay. We prepare to the grade we sold, and we photograph the prepared stack before it is stuffed.

Quality control before it leaves

Every consignment is radiation-screened and the certificate travels with the documents. We verify ISRI grade, moisture and non-metallic content, and for non-ferrous lots we provide assay results. Loading is photographed and videoed, container seal numbers are recorded, and your nominated surveyor has access to the yard, not just the finished container.

Independently, you nominate the surveyor and their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement. We give the surveyor access to the production line, not only the finished stack, and every lot carries a number that maps back to a production date, a raw material intake and a laboratory record we retain for the full claim period.

Packing, private label and volumes

Ferrous grades load loose or bundled into 20-foot containers to a payload that respects the destination's road limits. Non-ferrous runs in bales, bundles or jumbo bags depending on grade. Weights are established by weighbridge and, where the contract calls for it, by draft survey with an independent surveyor attending.
