Product overview

High and low fat desiccated coconut in fine, medium and chips cut, produced to microbiological standards for bakery and confectionery manufacturers. Origin is Indonesia · Philippines · Sri Lanka, and the line runs on our own shelling, peeling, calibration and sorting plant or at a sister factory under common management — so you are buying at manufacturer pricing with the producing factory named on the certificate of origin.

The contract specification is cut at Fine · Medium · Chips, fat content at High fat 65 % min / Low fat 45–55 %, moisture at 3.0 % max and free fatty acid at 0.3 % max. Those are the figures we set the plant to and the figures the independent surveyor measures against, not indicative ranges. Where your process needs a tighter tolerance, say so in the enquiry: a tighter number is usually a machine setting and an honest yield conversation rather than a refusal.

Applications

  • Confectionery and chocolate inclusion
  • Breakfast cereal and granola
  • Ice cream and dessert manufacturing
  • Bakery toppings and fillings
  • Retail and private-label packing

How this lot is processed and graded

Raw material is steam-conditioned and shelled at the plant, then peeled, dried to the contract moisture and passed over calibration screens that separate the counts. Grading is the step buyers underestimate: a W320 that carries W240 and W450 across the sieve is a commercial problem at destination, so our lines run electronic colour sorting behind the mechanical screens and hand-picking behind that. Because we control the drying, we can hold moisture at the low end of the range, which is what protects the kernel through a long ocean leg into a humid market.

Quality control before it leaves

Each lot is checked for count per pound, moisture, defective and broken percentage, foreign matter and colour uniformity. Aflatoxin B1 and total aflatoxin are screened against the destination limit — 4 ppb total for the European Union, higher elsewhere — and the certificate is issued before the lot is offered for loading.

Independently, you nominate the surveyor and their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement. We give the surveyor access to the production line, not only the finished stack, and every lot carries a number that maps back to a production date, a raw material intake and a laboratory record we retain for the full claim period.

Packing, private label and volumes

Standard export packing is vacuum-packed tins or flexible pouches of 10 or 25 kg net inside master cartons, nitrogen-flushed where the transit time or destination climate warrants it. Bulk formats run in multiwall paper sacks or jute. Retail packs from 100 g upward run on our own pouching line under your brand, with barcodes and destination nutrition labelling.

Buying desiccated coconut — supplier, exporter and manufacturer

Buyers reach this page searching for a desiccated coconut supplier, a desiccated coconut exporter or a desiccated coconut manufacturer, and the distinction matters more than the wording suggests. A supplier resells; an exporter ships someone else's goods; a manufacturer sets the specification on its own line. XINYI SMART SERVICE is the third, which is why we can quote wholesale desiccated coconut at factory-direct pricing and hold a tolerance you name.

To buy desiccated coconut in bulk, send the quantity, the destination port and whether you want CIF or DDP. We return a firm desiccated coconut export price with a validity window and a production slot within 48 hours. Minimum order is 1 x 20' FCL, packing is 25 kg multiwall paper bag with PE liner, and private-label packing under your own brand is available on this line.

02  /  Questions

Frequently asked about desiccated coconut.

01What is the minimum order quantity for desiccated coconut?
Our standard minimum is 1 x 20' FCL. Smaller trial quantities can be consolidated with other lines from our factories into a single container where the destination and Incoterm allow it — tell us the port and we will confirm whether it works economically.
02How is desiccated coconut packed for export?
Standard export packing is 25 kg multiwall paper bag with PE liner. Alternative formats and private-label packing under your own artwork are available on request; we handle print origination and destination labelling compliance in-house.
03Can you hold a tighter specification than the one published?
Usually, yes. The published figure for cut is Fine · Medium · Chips, and because the production line is ours a tighter tolerance is a machine setting rather than a sourcing problem. We will price the yield loss honestly or tell you plainly that we cannot hold it.
04Are samples available before we contract?
Yes. We courier a production sample against the agreed specification together with the laboratory certificate for that lot. For private-label orders we also send label proofs and packing mock-ups for written approval before anything is printed.
05Who inspects the cargo before it ships?
Every lot is analysed in our in-house laboratory, then verified at load port by an independent surveyor you nominate — SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, Cotecna or Alex Stewart. Their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement.
06What payment terms and Incoterms do you work on?
We quote CIF and DDP as standard, so freight and insurance are already inside the price and, under DDP, duty and delivery to your door as well. FOB, CFR, FCA and DAP are quoted on request. Payment is by telegraphic transfer against an agreed advance and balance, or cash against documents for established counterparties.
07Which markets do you already ship desiccated coconut to?
Regular destinations for this division include United States, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Japan, Brazil and India. Tell us your destination at enquiry stage and the documentary requirement goes into the contract rather than being discovered at the port.
