Hand-picked whole cloves with intact heads, graded on headless percentage and volatile oil.
Product overview
Hand-picked whole cloves with intact heads, graded on headless percentage and volatile oil. Origin is Indonesia · Madagascar · Tanzania · Sri Lanka, and the line runs on our own spice cleaning, drying and grading plant or at a sister factory under common management — so you are buying at manufacturer pricing with the producing factory named on the certificate of origin.
The contract specification is grade at Hand picked selected (HPS), headless cloves at 3 % max, moisture at 12 % max and volatile oil at 14 % min. Those are the figures we set the plant to and the figures the independent surveyor measures against, not indicative ranges. Where your process needs a tighter tolerance, say so in the enquiry: a tighter number is usually a machine setting and an honest yield conversation rather than a refusal.
Applications
- Sauce, pickle and chutney production
- Nutraceutical and herbal supplement
- Oleoresin and essential-oil extraction
- Instant-food and seasoning sachets
- Spice blending and masala manufacturing

How this spice is cleaned, dried and graded
Material is taken from contracted origin growers and partner processing mills, then cleaned, destoned, de-stemmed and dried to the contract moisture on our own line. Volatile oil content is the value in a spice and it is destroyed by heat, so drying is run low and slow rather than fast — it costs us throughput and it is the reason our oil figures hold. Bulk density and sieve fraction are set on the calibration screens, and steam sterilisation is available where the destination or the buyer's own retailer audit requires a microbial ceiling.
Quality control before it leaves
We record moisture, volatile oil, total ash and acid-insoluble ash, light berries, extraneous matter and ASTA cleanliness. Aflatoxin and pesticide residue are screened against the destination MRL, and for European buyers we test against the EU limit rather than the origin standard, which is a different number and a common cause of rejection.
Independently, you nominate the surveyor and their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement. We give the surveyor access to the production line, not only the finished stack, and every lot carries a number that maps back to a production date, a raw material intake and a laboratory record we retain for the full claim period.
Packing, private label and volumes
Standard export packing is 25 kg or 50 kg jute or multiwall paper sacks with a food-grade liner, or vacuum packing where volatile oil retention matters. Ground product runs under nitrogen flush. Retail jars, pouches and grinder packs run under your brand on our own line.

Buying cloves — supplier, exporter and manufacturer
Buyers reach this page searching for a cloves supplier, a cloves exporter or a cloves manufacturer, and the distinction matters more than the wording suggests. A supplier resells; an exporter ships someone else's goods; a manufacturer sets the specification on its own line. XINYI SMART SERVICE is the third, which is why we can quote wholesale cloves at factory-direct pricing and hold a tolerance you name.
To buy cloves in bulk, send the quantity, the destination port and whether you want CIF or DDP. We return a firm cloves export price with a validity window and a production slot within 48 hours. Minimum order is 1 x 20' FCL, packing is 25 kg / 50 kg jute bags, and private-label packing under your own brand is available on this line.
