Product overview

Baled used beverage cans for secondary smelters, contracted on metal yield with moisture and free-lead limits stated. Origin is Malaysia · Southeast Asia · Middle East, and the line runs on our own processing yard, shearing and baling or at a sister factory under common management — so you are buying at manufacturer pricing with the producing factory named on the certificate of origin.

The contract specification is isri grade at Taldon (baled) · Talk (loose), metal yield at 92 % min, moisture at 4 % max and free lead & foreign matter at 1 % max. Those are the figures we set the plant to and the figures the independent surveyor measures against, not indicative ranges. Where your process needs a tighter tolerance, say so in the enquiry: a tighter number is usually a machine setting and an honest yield conversation rather than a refusal.

Applications

  • Extrusion billet production
  • Induction furnace melting
  • Rolling mill billet production
  • Alloy production and blending

How this material is prepared and verified

Material is received at our yard, sorted by grade, stripped of attachments and non-metallic content, then cut, baled or bundled to the ISRI specification and the size the receiving mill needs. Preparation is the whole job in this division: an HMS parcel that arrives with oversized pieces or unacceptable attachments costs the buyer furnace time, and a copper lot that is graded generously fails on assay. We prepare to the grade we sold, and we photograph the prepared stack before it is stuffed.

Quality control before it leaves

Every consignment is radiation-screened and the certificate travels with the documents. We verify ISRI grade, moisture and non-metallic content, and for non-ferrous lots we provide assay results. Loading is photographed and videoed, container seal numbers are recorded, and your nominated surveyor has access to the yard, not just the finished container.

Independently, you nominate the surveyor and their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement. We give the surveyor access to the production line, not only the finished stack, and every lot carries a number that maps back to a production date, a raw material intake and a laboratory record we retain for the full claim period.

Packing, private label and volumes

Ferrous grades load loose or bundled into 20-foot containers to a payload that respects the destination's road limits. Non-ferrous runs in bales, bundles or jumbo bags depending on grade. Weights are established by weighbridge and, where the contract calls for it, by draft survey with an independent surveyor attending.

02  /  Questions

Frequently asked about aluminium ubc scrap (taldon / talk).

01What is the minimum order quantity for aluminium ubc scrap (taldon / talk)?
Our standard minimum is 25 MT. Smaller trial quantities can be consolidated with other lines from our factories into a single container where the destination and Incoterm allow it — tell us the port and we will confirm whether it works economically.
02How is aluminium ubc scrap (taldon / talk) packed for export?
Standard export packing is Bales of 300–500 kg, 18–20 MT per 20' container. Alternative formats and private-label packing under your own artwork are available on request; we handle print origination and destination labelling compliance in-house.
03Can you hold a tighter specification than the one published?
Usually, yes. The published figure for isri grade is Taldon (baled) · Talk (loose), and because the production line is ours a tighter tolerance is a machine setting rather than a sourcing problem. We will price the yield loss honestly or tell you plainly that we cannot hold it.
04Are samples available before we contract?
Yes. We courier a production sample against the agreed specification together with the laboratory certificate for that lot. For private-label orders we also send label proofs and packing mock-ups for written approval before anything is printed.
05Who inspects the cargo before it ships?
Every lot is analysed in our in-house laboratory, then verified at load port by an independent surveyor you nominate — SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, Cotecna or Alex Stewart. Their certificate is final for quality and weight at settlement.
06What payment terms and Incoterms do you work on?
We quote CIF and DDP as standard, so freight and insurance are already inside the price and, under DDP, duty and delivery to your door as well. FOB, CFR, FCA and DAP are quoted on request. Payment is by telegraphic transfer against an agreed advance and balance, or cash against documents for established counterparties.
07Which markets do you already ship aluminium ubc scrap (taldon / talk) to?
Regular destinations for this division include India, China, Vietnam, South Korea, Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, Spain and Italy. Tell us your destination at enquiry stage and the documentary requirement goes into the contract rather than being discovered at the port.
